In early April, we hosted our first Walk & Talk – an open invitation to explore regenerative building in practice in Hedeskov.
We’re were joined by
Ben Bosence from Local Works Studio, who led the material mapping in the Hedeskov project. He shared insights on the landscape audit, the use of local and biobased materials, and how building choices can support habitat creation.
Justine Bell from Djernes & Bell, the architects behind the transformation of the former Hedeskov School. She offered the architect’s perspective on integrating local materials into the design process.
Jørn Aagaard, co-founder of Hedeskov, who spoke about the history of the site, ecological land management, and how the land has been shaped for long-term regenerative use.
Together, they walked the land, reflected on the decisions behind the Hedeskov Living Lab transformation, and shared grounded, practical insights on working with what’s already here.
The walk was recorded and will soon be available as a podcast.
